Hi friends, as many of you know, my wife Jenni was diagnosed with ovarian cancer a few months ago. The only reason we knew she had it is because she requested the BRCA test from her doctor, and it came back positive for the BRCA 1 mutation gene. Given this information, and knowing her family history with cancer, Jenni decided to get a preemptive hysterectomy. It was after the procedure the doctors discovered the cancer.
Ovarian cancer is virtually undetectable until you are in a later stage. There is no real screening process for it. Had Jenni not opted for the preemptive hysterectomy, we would not have discovered her cancer until stage 3 or 4.
This is the first video detailing Jenni’s journey so far. Thank you for watching.
